    still no powersteering

for what its worth, my car had a similar issue, but I could never get the OEM turbo reservoir screen clean enough for it to stop whining (I got power steering back though). I swapped it out for an NA reservoir and BAM! I had noiseless power steering. just my experience... I wonder if the...

    Bored block question

My .02 would be go for the forged pistons, as they are a pretty good upgrade as long as you're overboring. X2 on the timing cover has to be bolted to the block, don;t forget to tell the machinist that as well!

    a lil puter help?

I would suggest copy/pasting the e-mails in an organized manner onto a word document and then attaching that document to the post. Slightly inconvienient for the reader (needs to DL and open it) but much easier on the site.

how much boost can my 7mgte handle

The main limiting factor IMO would be the fuel you run. Race gas will do very well, but its freaky expensive. Pump gas is much more limiting as far as boost/timing goes in my experience. (fyi, I love, love, love E-85, but I also live in MN...land of corn)

I agree on the shims, and am currently considering it myself, although its not as necessary for me. btw, where'd you get aggressive cams like that, Fred? Also, having re-clearanced many shimless engines, I highly suggest multiple measurements on your clearances and shims and buckets, with...
