I'm trying to fight out of that group. We will see what happens when the car goes down a 2nd time for paint + standalone if I keep it (after it is "done").
The IRS from a Lincoln? I would love an 31 spline 8.8 it's for nothing other than the LSD options. My only worry is the axles, as I am sure you could make one fit easy enough with a welder.
You planning on retaining the c-clips or going to a 9" style axle?
You would be better off looking at how the 2jz boys are doing higher horsepower on pump than asking here. With e85 being more accessable, most people aren't concerned with 93 numbers.
Here is some real advice, slap a 71 on a 1jz with a non china manifold, something like a doc race, with a...
It needs to be big and heavy, you don't see a light weight version of the s&w .500 do you? The mass and energy created by such a large round dictates a large pistol. Who cares if it is a range toy? You don't see the vast majority of ar15 owners using the for hunting do you?
I have a 1jz in the car now. Worlds longest build, and I am shooting for 500 on pump with my "baby" turbo. I have a 2jzgte bottom end in the garage waiting to get built for when I step up to a 66 or 72. It isn't that the 1jz won't hold it it is that I will want more Power under the curve.
1911 can be a handful for someone to maintain, and if you are carrying you will need more than the 7/8+1.
As for open carry, I wouldn't and dont. I have no need to broadcast that I have a firearm on my person. This does not apply if you need to open carry as you cannot conceal.
Heavy as sin, friend has one and it is around 10lb loaded.
I'll take the bait, how so? Because most owners don't maintain them between shooting it 1 or 2 times a year because they need a bigger boom?
Op, nothing wrong with polymer guns. My glock was my first purchase because I shot it...
There is also the .70ar BEP housing that doesn't have an internal wastegate for the hx35 (should have better spool with better flow). Ill come back to this thread when I have the numbers on my 1jz.
Sounds like a sewing machine, just about right lol. Whatever you do, take the mod progression SLOW. It might seem like a good idea to go from a newly running car to a new build. Take the car slow and enjoy it or you will end up without the car functioning for quite a while and you scratching...
Not to turn this into a flame war, but that is almost the most ignorant thing I have ever read (just behind some 9mm is a bitch ass round comments on other forums). I really expected more out of a vendor.
To the op, whatever makes you happy. I hope you are enjoying the tattoo!
Any info/pictures on the mounting of a JZA80 PS reservoir? I purchased the weapon-r one because I could not find a JZA70 or OEM JZA80 PS reservoir and I am unsure of how it gets mounted. I had a pretty ghetto rigged setup before (NA PS reservoir zip-tied between the strut tower and the fuse box).

Those should help a bit. I don't know linux too well, but I work a lot with OSX and that is UNIX based. Kinda sorta the same thing.
You probably will. You might be able to talk to the bracket creator and he might be able to give you a little room. The area to beat is where the heater core bulges out, above the brake lines. Test fit the motor and you will see exactly where you need to hit, or if you even need to.
Any year supra, or 1/2jz swapped cars are allowed.
If you are seriously planning on attending, please post in either this thread or the SF thread with your first name, color of the supra and your shirt size.
I think my 1jz swap with stock twins came out to ~3500 all said and done (getting the motor for $1900 shipped is the main reason). I cut some corners then that I am fixing now. I estimate that it would cost around 4500 to do it right, the first time.
