mine did the exact same thing, mine ended up being the turbo. i would venture to say that if you have the stock composite hg, it may be that, but i have a mls cometic with arp studs, even though EVERYONE pointed me twords the bhg and away from the turbo, i just couldnt see the hg thing, sure...

ok, i went out last night, looked very close at the turbo, borderline had it off, i see no clamp, but i do see where the two housings are flush up against one another, i climbed up in my attick, dug out my spare ct-26, friggin hot in there for an hour, lol, aaaaand of course...theres the clamp...

i got it already re-built from turbo-power in cameron park calif. anyone have a pick of a "normal" turbo, with this elusive clamp?

i replaced mine with a new stock from modesto toyota, 80 bucks, you figure the old one is 20 plus years old, may not be shiney, but it does the job :)

i have no pics, and note that the movement was very minor, but, it was visual, and you could feel it...picture.....two pieces of tubing, slid together, fit tight, but have very minor movement when you move them back and forth against one another, and as far as shaft play, there is none...

mine has been doing the same thing! is yours when its cold? mine only misses when its warming up. after that it is fine. could it be our start up injector?
