    Don't think the battery would cause it to have a high rpm. How's the timing set? And have you set your TPS?

    Finnon is right, I did that and it worked for a while. If you don't have power to the passenger side it is probably the master switch on the driver side.

    Have you checked the window lock on the drivers side? The way I checked it was with a meter to see if you are getting power to the pass. side.

    Come on guys a little "thumping" doesn't hunt anybody now and then.:) I think he's got more problems than rod knock if it's "thumping" instead of "tapping"

    Could be, the moisture coming out of the exhaust does it stop after warm up? What's the overflow look like, the radiator, etc. etc.

    Yes. You have to use a jumper wire in the dianostic box, I forget which ones but it's in the TSRM. It's also on the hood sticker if you still have one.
