Yes, when grounded it shoots all the way to the top. My wire accidentally broke and I watched the gauge peg in about 2 seconds! Needless to say I freaked until I opened the hood and saw the wire laying on the block...
There was a concept that had a twin turbo on the 4.2L that was just awesome! The rumor was that it would be the Syclone/Typhoon reborn, but alas it was not to be...boring cars it is.
I did actually have that problem, but found out that my dual pressure switch had broken connectors after I had replaced the amp. Sorry, no real help to ya, but I did have a similar problem.
Definitely don't pay the the $750! Could your calipers be rebuilt at all? It sounds kinda fishy to me that they would just be all-out trashed. Mine have been on the car for 17 years and still work! This is also a job you could certainly do yourself so I think you can save a lot of money...
Do you have an electric fan setup or are you using the factory fan clutch? My car would overheat at highway speeds with the electric fans turned on. Anthing else about your cooling system that we need to know? HTH...
I had a Denso Iridium plug do that to me...I use the Autolite 3923's with no problem. They even made 8 runs on the dyno with no issues. I happen to like them right now.
I still think the prettiest sunsets/sunrises I have seen have been cruising at 30,000+ feet. It really is an amazing beauty. That and the Northern Lights at that altitiude are pretty freakin' sweet...
I experienced problems with my BM150 fan only if I left it on at highway speeds and it would overheat. Cruising around town it worked well. I finally stopped screwing with it and now I use a Tundra fan clutch. OMFG that thing pulls air!!!
Very important, it keeps you from having a boost leak in a pressurized manifold. As for starting, I don't know but I think it unlikely. It mainly controls the idle speed, hence the name Idle Speed Control. I don't think it has anything to do with actually starting the car.
