I have this same problem. Fuel pressure in spec, timing's right, will idle at 650 after warmup, TPS is correct per TSRM, CSI time switch resistances are good (but at current ambient temps don't think it is working), CSI works with the test in the TSRM and immediately after checking for flow out...
Yes, the passenger kick panel needs to be removed. Not too difficult of a task...I think it's a 10mm nut holding it in then loosen the screw or two for the glovebox and one for the door sill protector to give you room to maneuver and you should be good to go to pop it out!
Check your high/low pressure switch on the passenger side engine compartment between the firewall and strut tower. When mine wasn't working for a long time, one of the prongs had busted off not alonging continuity for the circuit.

I haven't seen it in the manual, but will unplugging the O2 sensor cause the ECU to pop a code? I haven't boosted on mine past 5 psi yet, but right now it is still working great! I have settings in for PT AFR tracking, just not using it yet...
Autolite 3923 coppers. Change them more often, but durable. Also look over on www.mkiiitech.com. Dr. J has some good info over there as well. I have an HKS unit, but I don't think it actually does anything. I unplugged it on the dyno and my HP actually went up! Weird...
Plenty of threads here about it...just search. Yes, some of them are long, but lots of good info. Also look at Dr. J's site at www.mkiiitech.com. FTS also has a forum up and running.
