The Cressida pump is a cast Aluminium thing so the pickup isn't interchangable onto a GE or GTE pump body.
I did a custom pickup for a buddie's 7MGTE Crssida but didn't take any pic's and neither did he sorry. (I asked last night when I posted this)
The GTE pump has longer internal gears...
SBC/weight
(LS series makes more sense)
1UZ/only +1 litre capacity
(may as well just turn the boost up on the 7M)
7MGTE/needs dedication to make reliable power
(you can't cut corners it WILL bite you)
Remember this is my opinion only and I'm sure many will disagree ;)
We don't have a large 1G user base here you might want to try ToyMods the Aussie site as quite a few of the guys run that engine and I know there's a Toyota interchangable part post over there.
I ran mine mega lean at part/light throttle cruise, mid to high 15's any leaner and it'd run like a shitbox and missfire, power was always low 12's as any richer was dropping power. (at high boost with the Methanol on it would be high 11's but that was to preserve the engine and make sure it...
It's not a 1 (one) ;)
I wasn't ragging on you it's just that people seem to have the idea that a 7M+xxx$=500rwhp it's not that easy!
Trust me on this I have a huge budget for playing cars and I'd hesitate to say 2 months for a 500rwhp build.
If you can pull it off as I said I'll be the...
2 pumps may be enough to create a vacuum in the tank and this will starve the engine.
Next time it's down to half a tank try taking the cap off and driving it to see if it still leans out.
