Was running 100Psi a few years back without a failure so not sure if that was a factor George, was also spinning that engine to 8300 daily.
I like the groove idea.
Even if the engine was standing on the flywheel a properly installed seal shoukdn't leak, time to pull it and recheck, if the Disc is polluted a couple of cans of BRAKLEEN "might" save it but if it's a fibre disc it's toast.
Gotya problem being the young guys read it don't realise you were joking and pull the tensioner bolt to 50ft/lbs (easy to do as it's a big diameter fine pitch bolt) and end up pulling #1 bore and then can't understand why their dip stick keeps popping out under boost ;)
Sample rate is low so it looks much worse than it is in the real world as mentioned earlier.
<edit> Just went back through the ECU file that was in the car at that time and(your timing comment got my attention) The TRAC was pulling timing due to wheelspin and that was affecting the boost curve...
