No I installed the cams before I installed the engine. I've never driven a 1j with stock twins or stock cams.

I was shifting at 7000 rpm which is short shifting to a smaller degree. I didnt feel the need to go to 7500rpm since I wasn't racing anything. I'm sorry to disappoint, but this is a tough crowd...........:biglaugh:

Glad you made it home safely and it's too bad you didn't get to race the porche. It looks like a nice ride although I've never been to crazy about them.

There should be numerous threads, but I would guess between six and eight thousand dollars to do a swap. It might be a little less if you don't replace alot of things, but when I did my 1j swap, I replaced all the seals and gaskets and new radiator, injectors, turbo and alot of other things...

The mechanical limitations of the 1jz have not been discovered yet Ryan, and I really tried not to talk at all in the videos. I hate the sound of my own voice. If I knew sign language, that's what I would use anytime a camera was around.

It's a new highway and it is perfect for racing............not that I would ever do anything like that.............:rolleyes:
