Exactly why a cowl induction hood works. Due to the pressure differential it draws in cool air when the vehicle is in motion. When the vehicle is stationary, it will vent hot air as that is the highest point of the engine compartment (heat rises up and out). When I was driving at speed on a...
Actually other than the fact that this can got flattened on the bottom and it has a rediculous 4" ring around whats actually 2" out, this muffler isnt bad at all. Its not at all ricey sounding. Im gonna live with it for now.
Well I got tired of fighting the high idle issue and made some...
I used to smoke ALOT of pot. I now regret it ALOT. Being a pot smoker changed my life in way that I didnt always realize until much later in life. If there was two things I could go back and change in my life, it would be not smoking pot in the first place and not stealing the stuff I stole to...
yeah thats a drag with the rust up there. Here in the NW rain is an issue, but we dont salt the roads so unless you live on the coast rust really isnt bad (interiors mildew in junkyards though...nasty!). I regularly see old 'yota pickups in the pick a part yards near me. What I really miss is my...
well the mistake most people make is that they think they are supposed to torque the cam covers down. They are actually designed to seal with minimal torque (thus the o-ring type gasket). They arent supposed to be squished absolutely flat. However they do require re-tightening occasionally.
Im still unsure of why you chose such a complicated route on the rear end. There are toyota alternatives that Im fairly confident would have stood up to your power goals. The F series axle from the mk1 supra (MA46) could be had with limited slip and was set up with disk brakes and 4-link. The...
Nice Job Steve! Congrats for keeping the MK2 in front of the members of SM. While the vast majority here are mk3 owners alot of them came from the mk2 as well. Yours is one of the finest examples of what a Supra is and was. Im a few years behind with mine, but Im following in your footsteps...
welcome, nice mods list but if you wanna smoke the new GT-R you are gonna need more horsepower than that W58 can handle, lol. might want to start looking for a r154 or convert to auto with a kitted TH350. :icon_razz
You cant prove that! I never took a DNA test!
I will say that while 3E5 is a great color 3F2 really grows on ya. It doesnt take on the orange cast that 3E5 does. Besides, Im in the official red supras thread, thats close enough :biglaugh:
EDIT: WOOT POST #1300 of the thread, what do I win!?
I agree, as long as it holds pressure up to whatever boost you are going to run plus a margin of error its fine. Those dents dont even look to be restricting those few runners. Paint the core, polish the ends and call it a day.
Ohh yeah dont get me wrong Tanya, right now Im loving how Vivien feels. I know its not anywhere near as fast as Lucy was at the end but it feels so good through the first 3 gears. 4.10 gears help that Im sure. And I loved my first mk3 which was N/A. Maybe I'll go ITB's :naughty:. For now its...
yeah take off is where you start to wonder how hard it would be to put one of those jet engines in your supra! :naughty:
Good luck Jay! I have faith in you. No matter how good you are though you will need a little luck on your side to go far. You seem like a pretty lucky guy to me, so I have...
