At 300whp (~11psi) you really shouldn't need more then 91 octane. If it is not pinging then higher octane is not going to do much for you except drain your wallet. If you were drag racing with no intercooler and it was 110deg outside it would be a good idea to run race gas. :icon_razz

50 trim with 10 degree clip, with about 20k miles on the turbo. Makes 370whp at 21 psi and 395 tq. I have a 60 trim i'm going to put on this weekend and once I fix an exhaust issue, it should be over 400whp at a lower boost setting.

It would be cheaper and cleaner then stock, and with high quality aftermarket coils, maybe higher output then stock. IJ's setup is the hot ticket, but it costs a few more bucks.

Actually that was me, but the problem turned out to be a boost leak and poor engine grounds. Now im running 18-25 psi all the way to redline with no missing or power loss.

Oh, and I got an adjustable 12-24vdc 60w dc to dc power supply to up the voltage to the coils but at redline the coils can draw over 7 amps! That is 105watts at 15 volts! I only got a 60w unit so I didn't even try it yet.

The 1j/2j coils are good to well over 7200rpm and can sustain lots of horsepower but will not work with a single 7m-gte ignitor.

Im running a 275/40/17 Nitto 555r drag radial on a 17x10 wheel with +35 offset. It hooks up great and has performed very well on the street, I got a lot of miles on them. I think at least 15k miles.
