No, the advantage to an EBC is it can delay ANY pressure getting to the actuator until it's time to open so you get much improved Turbo response, The actuator will creep even at 1>2psi and bleed a little as the valve unseats when using an MBC.
Go to a pickapart/junkyard with a piece of clean 5mm id tubing, locate a small CC then unhook it's signal line fit your piece of hose and blow, if you can blow move onto the next type and repeat.
Failing that you could always run a non return valve in the line.

I always man up and admit if it's something stupid I've done as it may help the next guy NOT make the same mistake, it also sets it in my mind with a bit of a sting so I don't make the same error again.
A bud here did this way back, cranked base pressure then pulled fuel as needed, it works but you have 0 room for error and the slightest hitch in fuel delivery will melt down your engine... :nono:
