Does anyone have some foglights to sell?

First you posted this in MKIII Supra Reference/Tech-Tips section... That in and of itself is pretty bad considering the section is very clear in it's rules about what it's for. Fortunately that area of the forum is moderated to prevent such stupidity... Then you posted it in this forum... Once...

    9 sec mk3 at 144mph

"Streetable" is a relative term.... In the late 80's I drove a backhalved, 1978 Monte Carlo with a 572 cu in big block, roots blower, 9" ford rear, a 4 link and wheelie bars. It only ran on aviation fuel, had Moroso Trick Drag front tires (3" wide) and Mickey Thompson Sportsman's out back...

    Best newb question ever

I'd like to see a MKII chassis, back halved with a 4 link, with a turbo LS motor, a built TH-400 and a 9" ford rear. Talk about a wicked killer drag setup. You'd beat some serious ass with that combo. And it would look mean as hell as well.

No, I don't think you can call any of the LS motors a smallblock. The LS motors were 100% new designs. They are after the smallblock/bigblock era. Wicked motors though. I sold my 2000 Trans Am a couple of years ago, but it was a blast to drive. No doubt... I can never figure out why...

Any alternative markings to do cam gear timing with???

My MKIII has two 1/32" holes drilled on either side of the jiggle valve hole (which is also removed). I originally did it because I had an air bubble that I could NOT get rid of no matter what I did. It's added a few minutes to warm up time now that it's cool out, but its not bad. I had...

7M-fanatic will no longer be joining our discussion. I have upgraded his temporary ban to permanent. This isn't because he disagreed with a staff member. It's because he can't show the basic civility and respect that is needed for rational discussion. Simply put, the guy is picking a fight in...

    Best newb question ever

I stand corrected. The Pontiac 455 was a unique design (nether a small block nor a big block). Oddball motor. However GM still never produced a small block over 408 cu in. ;)

    Best newb question ever

Correct, however both are big block motors. I still stand by my statement that GM NEVER produced a small block 454.

    Best newb question ever

Pontiac NEVER made a 454 small block (nor did any GM division). Chevrolet did make a 400 small block however. That motor was used interchangeably (by Ponitac) with the Oldsmobile 60 degree V8 400 in the Late 70's 6.6 liter Trans Am's. There is an after market crate 454 small block available...

I've got a fluke. I'll see if I can "create" the problem and then test for it with both.

    lets play a new game!

I had this problem on one of my old MKII's 1977 Celica GT's. Ate the living shit out of the radiator, water pump and head before I tracked it down. Nasty problem.

    lets play a new game!

Ok, There's a couple of things that can be going on. IJ covered #1 - enviornmental reasons. #2 could be chemical problems in the coolant (corrosion causing outgassing, etc.) #3 could be electro-chemical problems. Where some parts of your motor are acting like a cathode and other parts an...
