theres only one SS line that needs to be assembled if you use just a hose barb for the return. really no hassle at all. save some $$ and still have something that looks and works great.
you are gonna do this your self? so you have the equipment to properly balence the assembly, machine the housing and anything else that goes along with a turbo rebuild/upgrade?
drjonez experimented with this also, i clearly remember seeing pictures of his brown car with the NA intake setup. i remember reading somewhere that it MIGHT be worth it if you got on a dyno and could control when the butterfly opened.
