There's got to be some clearance between the two. I would think it would move both directions without the rings on.

Thanks for the tune Scott. I doubt my problems are in my tune, but I still have the tune Aaron did for me at Texax. It looks a lot cleaner and smoother than mine and it's even more conservative. I'm going to upload it and see how the car runs with it. It only has about 15degrees of timing...
