Check your afm, mine also ran crappy and I checked the codes and 31 came up. I unplugged the afm and It ran better!?!? I know its random but it might help.

Check for codes. It might not be the head, did you repllace valve seals? Are you using a stock replacement HG or aftermarket? Also what is the head torqued to?

That sounds like rod knock to me. Does it studder at higher rpm?

Ok so I scanned for codes and I got 31... afm, Im thinking to just upgrade to the lexus afm. Is that compatible to the stock 7MGTE? do I need to upgrade injectors, or anyhting? Thanks

Check your oil also, if it is milky looking thats a sign of bhg cause coolant is mixing in with your oil.

Run a compression test. Do you have the check coolant light? check your coolant overflow tank, If that is low fill it up, and if it drops back down you might have BHG. Check out. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/
