Could be low on coolant. Have you ever had a radiator flush? might be a good idea considering its a 20ish year old car.

Crankwalk is more BS than saying it has BHG. Could be the afm. mine does that once and a while when its cold, at like 3k rpm and clutch into neutral and it just kinda dies... hasent done it lately, I had a checkengine light on a week or two ago and it was 31 the afm like i said.

That sounds like a BHG to me... to be sure do a compression test. I think it should be about 190psi (correct me if I'm wrong) Is their any coolant in the oil or vise versa?

my mkiii is a shell with alot of intereor parts, no tranny, some random stuff in the engine bay. nothing worth keeping under the hood.

mine did that also, It made code 31. (afm) and I still have the stock afm. maybe check that. was it doing that with the lex afm or stock?

when i go WOT at about 3500rom it reaches peak boost at like 5psi and as it revs higher to like 5500 it slowly drops to like 4psi, but i never thought anything of it... is that also a bypass valve issue or a boost leak?

I just wanted to clarify what is all needed for a 1jz swap. (Maybe a stupid question... but I searched it but couldnt find anything). What would I need to do a complete 1JZ SWAP? My 87t is stock. Would I need new motor mounts, new ecu, wiring harness, etc... could anyone who has done this...

If you hate torque soooo much Id recomend getting a 1JZ. If you want power and torque go with the 2JZ. If your on a budget whats wrong with a 7M???

Do you have an after market air filter? or an oily one? has the air filter box(if you still have that) been leaked on by any oil?

maybe "It" isnt the head, could be in the block, bad rods or your crank isnt balanced correctly.
