Wow, interesting. I had no idea. I guess I will leave them wired to the ecu.
Do you recommend wiring up only what whiplash did, or is there another best way?
Why not wire the KS to the SAFC? I don't know tons about them (in fact mine is sitting next to me right now and will be wired in next week), but based on the fact that the code corresponds only to wiring in the SAFC in the first place, I would expect the code to go away.
I think I can handle eye surgery, but the vasectomy I've been thinking about freaks me out. :icon_conf
edit: Weird how these threads evolve, isn't it? :)
One thing that you can always do to make sure they earn their money on speeding tickets is write a simple letter requesting certain information in 30 days or less under the Freedom of Information Act. Make sure you ask for a copy of the engineering study that justifies the speed limit they were...
The next time you get pulled over and asked where you're going, answer like this: "I'm sorry I was speeding officer, but I couldn't wait to get to your mom's house so I could bang her!"
Interesting find! Make sure you start a Build thread after you get this thing home if you buy it. ;)
It will be cool to see what it's like to get thing running. Any idea on mileage? How long has it been stored? Anything other details on the history? More pics!
You can get by simply having it machined, but a few hundred dollars is money well spent for new valve seals, a little valve work, a good cleaning, etc. I'm sure you'll kick yourself if you find a little smoke out the tailpipe in 6 or 12 months is due to leaking seals and you passed on the...
americanjebus = super intestinal fortitude :D
Looks like I'm heading toward a 57 trim later this summer with the same set up, except for about 80 ftlbs on ARP bolts and no way I'm going over 11-12 psi. :icon_razz
So I bought mine with a 'recent JDM swap', and I've got the paperwork to show it. There's an EGR. WTF? Not a real JDM or retrofitted to make it US legal? I've always wondered this.
If you have severe leaks it stands that you wouldn't make boost, not to mention the condition of the turbo. These things are clearly wrong and are your low hanging fruit, so pick them, because you can't expect your car to run properly with problems like this. Get yourself a rebuilt turbo and...
My 5 year old who wouldn't touch lunch at the in laws and goofed around in church didn't see fit to honor me today, so I figured why not SM? ;)
Anyway, happy Father's Day to all the others out there!
The $50 and kick in the nuts is dead on. Why don't you send him a URL or two to SM or SF's for sale section? This dick needs to get a clue before he screws some dumbass out of $2500. :nono:
Wow, I forgot about this thread!
Good to see more "old guys" showing up :) I'll be 37 a week from tomorrow, and like the first post said, 90 Turbo, married, two kids, college educated, hate my job, love my family... and my Supra. ;)
