are the r154 > 7m block mounts necessary?

I have the auto ones in mine and has less bolts but I have ARP bolts which are minimum 170,000 PSI strength as I spoke to them on the phone :) (this is the minimum strength they make for this particular grade) Break? I have driven my car to the track for years (650RWTQ last year) and over...

    platinum, friend or foe?

Autolites suck if you have any more power than stock.. Stay the fack away from them. :nono: On a more positive note, I run NGK 6097's Duane :)

Threw a rod, sad day in my life

You are already making this in to a debate :nono: For the same money, you could have a nicely built 7M that would stay right with the 2J. Read before you mouth off and making assumptions. Duane

Threw a rod, sad day in my life

Maybe he was but I get annoyed when people say 2J is the way to go when in fact a 7M/1J can stay right with it. Nice to see you stuck with a 7M. It has been a great engine for me and I hope the same for you. Duane

Threw a rod, sad day in my life

In denial? That is one stupid post. It sounds like you watch to many F&F movies there bud. I have done much research when doing what I did. It is the "THE" engine to go with..why? because it is a 2j :nono: I could go in to details about why each one is good for it's own reason but I won't. I am...

Threw a rod, sad day in my life

Get a new engine and make sure it is well built. (stock form or not as long as you have ARP's and good gasket) 2J is not always the answer although people think it is :3d_frown: PS: Glad to hear it only broke a few miles away from home though :) Duane

Tryin to figure out why my car has been running so rich.

Having a thread titled " RICH" doesn't tell me or anyone else anything. Now for the third time today, having to adjust a thread to make a "proper" title. If you want a serious answer or if you want anyone to look in the thread, please take the time to make a PROPER TITLE What the hell does...

!!F**K!! > block threads are no good/any suggestions?

First off. Making a thread that shows "!!F**K!!" doesn't tell me anything or anyone else for that matter.:3d_frown: If you want a serious answer or even for someone to look at your thread at all, I would suggest to take the time you make a proper title. For the second time for a modification...

Is a 4" exhaust to big for my power goals?

Unless you are planning on 1000RWHP, it is not needed. I have 3.5" now but maybe I would need to upgrade. (depending on my goals) Duane

Is a 4" exhaust to big for my power goals?

When posting a thread please be more specific. Posting a title that says (4") doesn't tell the viewers anything. Is it that you have a 4" penis, 4" wire wheels on your ride? Get my point :icon_conf PS: I did however take the liberty to change the title for you. To better answer your...

Clutch scatter sheild ( pics )

If it can be installed without taking out trans I would be surprised. Looks like a pita to me. The bolts that hold the tranny in place are the ones being used correct? What about the top bolts that are on top of transmission? How do you get access to them? Duane
