Mine does too, but I think my issue is the old sparkplugs. I have at least a year on these plugs...actually, more than that if I can recollect. I'd say not intense enough spark would be the culprit. Edit* And fuel pressure... in my case, my car sits for a week or so before getting started.

My favorite sound has to be : (7M-GTE, tube manifold, T4 with a .96A/R and a 4" downpipe.) Has that 2JZ single turbo sound.... but is deeper pitch from the 7M and scarier.

It's a must see if you like movies with "the quiet, smart, and incredibly adaptive" persona in a character (main character) I like actors like Nicholas Cage (ect)

VW beetles sound that way due to mechanical lifters. I call it the "chain rattling" effect.
