My concern is, these should fit good, but I am not sure what...
Again, it comes down to what your plans/budget will be.. but if you think you can pick up a cheap Supra and be happy.. I havent met many people yet that have succeeded.
Remember too.. this is a person from Thunderbay (in Canada). Not many up there.. but go south a bit towards Toronto and you...
Thought it was a 72. About 25 years ago I owned one.. miss it bad :)
and.. in '87 I owned a 73. Excellent little cars.. just very hard to find now...they weren't built to last this long.. lol
(just noticed.. my daughter Mandy is in that pic.. lol. She's 27 now)
3 cars I regret selling...
I was going to run to Vancouver for a weekend when the car is painted and still might (after replacing the rubber), but I doubt my car is going to see daylight before the end of October now.. and I seriously dont put my car on a snowy road (I even try to avoid water.. lol). Winter is for car...
True, but the worthy oldsters that I grew up with are all above the 20,000 mark now (in any kind of shape) and the ultimate beauties are 100k+. Although, there are still some mide 60 ponies out for under 10k and the odd pre-72 Camaro for under 10k as well. They are excellent to own (my wife...
I think thats the first Rx-4 I have seen.. lol (or maybe I wsant paying attention...)
I would just love that 72(?) Celica... excellent to see one still alive.. they are hard to find.
Let me add.. "not bad" = I probably dont understand how bad it can get. "Surface rust" = I probably have no body skills.
What I mean by the above is, generally.. you probably dont understand what your about to do... lol. That car has more than surface rust just by looking at the quarter...
THat seems to be the only one without a bushing pointed at it. Very glad I read this because I plan on doing the same next year. I had thought they were all bushings
Just topped 20k into my car in 3 years (including the 6k purchase price). Almost all (except maybe 2k) is body and paint. I like new parts where I can.. and they are hella expensive and my mechanic abilities aren't up to par for me to trust myself doing the engine work.
A lot of people assume...
My MKIII probably wont see the roads this year until they freeze.. then I have the joy of figuring out how to get it home on very slick summer tires...
I would recommend against it unless you have a lot of free time and good skills. You dont just glue the vinyl (it has to be a certain type of vinyl as well) to the top, you have to have a channel for the edges or else "weather" will work its way in quite rapidly.. lol.
Cool idea and would be a...
Cheap + 7M doesnt usually work. Make sure the head and block are prepped properly or you risk losing that friend.. lol. The head gasket itself isn't as much of an issue as the actual engine prep before applying it. If the head and block are prepped correctly and the head bolts/studs are torqued...
Pay attention to the lol's and hehe's... I wasn't saying that out of frustration or because the comment pissed me off.. :)
It was a mere statement of fact
no stress here.. nope.
I hear this a lot. If I wanted a MKIV.. I would have bought a MKIV. They are 2 different cats. I could have bought a BMW.. or a fully done MKIII for what I paid and still have to put into my car. For some of us.. thats not the point.
We are stupid enough to chase the dream.. lol. Any car...
I bought a 89+ bumper from Shine Auto and also some smoked signal light covers from the forums. Now I have a tiny problem..
Is there an easy way to put 89+ signal lights on my 88? I have 2 sets of them, however, the brackets to attach them are different (the metal bracket under the front...
