    Guv'na's Tavern

Volkswagens are for girls, Shawn. Hondas are for traitors, Villy. So you're ok, Faye:) But Shawn and Villy...? Faye, Did you hear back from the frame shop? You should let me know when you're headed to Shawn's house. If I'm welcome, I'd like to stop by and see you guys:p

My quest for 500whp under 2500 bucks

You can hit 500bhp with 550s. It's the $2500 I'm sceptical of. But good luck, I hope you do it.

    blown head gasket

I would recommend using the Toyota head gasket. Driftmotion sells a gasket set that is fine if you throw out head gasket. I think the set is around a hundred bucks. He also sells a Toyota head gasket for around a hundred bucks. Make sure that whomever you have do the work uses ARP studs torqued...

    blown head gasket

You are correct. I threw out a 500 dollar number. I still think $500 would be low if you had someone do the job. If you read the first post, it sounds like that is what he is asking about. But I guess maybe he wasn't. Didn't mean to start a pissing match. Just for the record though, I agree with...

    blown head gasket

Maybe I misunderstood what was asked. I got the impression that he was wondering what it would cost to have it done.

    blown head gasket

100 plus 100 equals a couple hundred. Pretty sure milling a head costs more than zero.

    blown head gasket

Toyota head gasket is around $100. ARP head studs are another $100-$120. That's a couple hundred already and the head hasn't even been milled yet... If all you do is resurface the head, use OEM gaskets and ARP studs you might be able to do it for $500. But you really won't know the damage til...

Aerosol like spray from backside of engine when I rev the engine...

Coolant often shows up in places it shouldn't be with BHGs. OP mentioned BHG and coolant leading me to believe that he might have reason to suspect a BHG. Sorry about the vagueness.

Aerosol like spray from backside of engine when I rev the engine...

Check your EGR vacuum modulator. Oftentimes people find the hose attached to the bottom has slid off the hardline. This can give you a mist of coolant. You should also check your EGR cooler and the hoses that attach to the head right next to it.

    Head Gasket?

I'd personally go with Toyota over Felpro. But, as 7M4evr mentioned, a gasket is only as good as the surface prep, the hardware, installation, maintenance and tuning.

    Intercooler and Radiator Upgrade?

I went with Toyota and would again. Especially the head gasket if you're not machining the block. Whatever else you do, don't go MLS without machining the block.

    Intercooler and Radiator Upgrade?

Make sure you have some extra clamps. The ones in the kit tend to break before you feel comfortable with the seal. I broke two. Same fitment issues the others mentioned. I have the new DM kit with in and out on same side.

how does my parts list look???

If you go with .020 you can go .040 next time and not have to sleeve or find another block. And yeah, domestics are largely about displacement. But it isn't going to affect you much. Edit: Just reread. Looks like you'll have to go .040. Forgot you were .020 over already. Good idea to bring...

    Oil in the turbo intake

On or in? A little oil or a lot? A little is normal. K&N type oiled air filter or dry type? The best "alternative", IMHO, is to rebuild your CT26. You can have it rebuilt to various levels.
