    Guv'na's Tavern

Was a light-hearted comment tbh. I was torn as to which route to go when I realized the Supra I had just purchased needed a rebuild. The only reason I chose to keep the 7m was that I bought the car so I could drive it. The quickest way to get it drivable was to rebuild the 7m. No regrets thus...

I too would like a 2j. But the Supra I have now will always be a 7m. Another one someday perhaps? :)

    hydraulic PS??

    Wires attached.
  11. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

This is correct. Not THE ecu. It has it's own ecu.
  12. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

Pps has smaller pulley/more pressure is my guess. But just a guess.
  13. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

The speed sensor to the ecu to the solenoid. Don't know all the specifics such as what speed/what percentage.
  14. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

Didn't realize this myself, but I guess it makes sense.
  15. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

Yeah sorry, I first said pump. But it's actually a hydraulic reactionary chamber in the gear box. There is a solenoid controlled by the ecu if you have pps.
  16. supranewbie

    hydraulic PS??

Probably this^ . You can tell by looking at your steering box whether or not you need to buy progressive. There is an electrical connection on it if you have pps.

    which one is better.

I went with AEM because that's what my tuner wanted to tune. I don't think it's the best unit. I strongly suggest choosing your tuner first and buying what he is most comfortable tuning. But, as mentioned ^, they all work. Good luck.
