It is pre 89. Non turbo. Its in decent shape but jeffs an ass and won't take anything under 2,500. Honestly I don't think it is worth it.

Sounds to me like what your saying makes plenty of sense. A gte throttle body should work on a gte motor and you get the added bonus of the lack of the egr.
