Check your fuzes you might have just blown one.... Compare the tewd to your plug and make a list of what wires out of the ones it shows are in the wrong position
Then double check that they come from where they are supposed to come from
the tewd matched my 88 and the cluster... My 90 was...
I had to move the wires around... Not jump but de-pin and move I had to extend one or two of the wires but basically just make the wires match the tewd
And I had to move more than just that one wire...
I think we should have a sticky thread here where the only posts are from people who have made their decision already.....
Including what engine they chose, what their reason was for choosing that engine, and if they are happy with the decision they chose..... No engine bashing no people...
I think what we are all trying to say is neglect is not something these engines handle very well and we have all seen way too much of it around .... I am glad it's not in your future plans. Lol

Cheap, fast, reliable..... You can only have 2....so choose wisely on which two mean the most to you and go with it... that might make the difference between taking on a swap project or staying with the 7m
But taking the time to do a jz swap...
Hey the 7M engine lasts longest in the best condition while sitting (in the proper environment) on a engine stand... I am willing to bet anyone on this forum who has owned one can vouch for that fact... I would even dare say it's their natural environment :-P
Although he never said WHAT it was he did tell how to determine what it was by yourself... Which to me is way more helpful as these diagnostic skills are more useful than a simple "try replacing the (insert random part here) and see if that fixes it:-)

That's correct.... Those would be the wires to check.. The wiring diagram also tells you what fuze, relay, and connectors that wire "passes through" on it way... Could be a number of things so if I were you I would do some quick learning on the Internet on how to read a wiring diagram and get a...
