If the body is in good working order and you have the cash to do the repairs, then ya go for it. Just make sure you start with a good base.
Go through the car with a fine tooth comb
Well not that this Matters for 89toy now but
Just to let people know

I bought some NGK BKR6EGP Platinum plugs with a Steel Ground and i am going to test them out in my engine. If i notice any Differences or issues i will report so.
I will also be giving the NGK BCPR6EIX...
I have trouble with mine to. Can't get my arm and hand down there to really change the thing ....lol
I was thinking a relocation kti as well (down the road that is, out of cash). Then i could add in an oil cooler as well. It seems like Greddy has a Nice Kit for the oil filter relocation.
The 1Jz as well as the JDM 2Jz are only 280HP Due to the Gentleman's agreement between manufacturers in Japan.
I think everyone else has already gone over the differences.
I think the 1JZ Stock has a Higher Red Line / Rev Limit
I used Royal Purple For Both
The MaxGear 75W90 . It also has a LSD Additive in it already. It has been running nice and smooth with it.

Also put Royal Purple in the Engine. It's good stuff and i find you can get it for much less then Redline...
Just Curious, has anyone mapped out what the engine does when fully dressed stock?
What i don't understand is why go with the SAFCII and a boost controller for the cost of those two you could have a E-Manage blue, Don;t know if the ultimate is workable but still. Or am i mistaken thinking that...
Thats good,
I had both pressure plates and Clutches in front of me while i was doing my swap, they are identical from what i could see. They are the same. Only the flywheel is different.
Check out this Link there is allot of good info in there...
Jay i forgot if you mentioned it or not. But do you have a wide band O2 Sensor to help you with your tunning Or does the SAFC give you that from the stock O2 Sensor?
Don't flame me people i know the Stock O2 Sensor is not a good tunning tool. Just Curious thats all
Don't Forget when a Manufacturer states Horse Power that it always at the Crank and Not the wheels Thus 280HP Stock might only be 267 or 250 at the Rear Wheels.
I am not sure about the 0-60 or 1/4 mile times
With just an intake and 3" Exhaust Turbo Back People see about 300 RWHP Depending on...

Some people have big issues, and just need help. Sound like that guy needs some help.
Don't retaliate now cause he will know who did it and come after you.
It's best not to retaliate.
But if you choose to do it...
