I don't like our cheap china manifolds either, I hate to point fingers but the one I got from dm is over 1/8 inch from being level going from one end to the other. all the slag in it is sad to see as well but you do get what you pay for. I used a dremel with a flapper wheel on the slag then a...
Also, if you're on par with someone power wise that's running a big CI v8 or even a beefed up ls1, it'll be hard to run them down. They've got the instant power where ours builds, thing is though, we can always just turn up our power just a few numbers with a dial.
Just remember, 18 PSI on a 62mm is very different from 18 PSI on a 26 57. Where the 57 was like BAM then kind of dies getting higher in the revs, the 62 will be like a gradual build up then BAM with that same feeling til you shift.
I spent some time tweaking the fuel pressure and air bypass screw on my lex afm housing to make sure the vf signal was happy. My idle afr is 15.4 along with my cruise being about 14.5 to 14.9 and my WOT is 11.3 slowly going to 10.7
Isn't the tial using only spring pressure to hold it closed? So under high boost situations, you'll still get low pressure surge because the spring would be too strong to hold it for both situations, correct?

This is my car. The mods are in my sig. This is a warm idle with DM downpipe and DM catback with the silencer removed.
If you couldn't find the ct26 downpipe on DM, you didn't look very hard...
An SAFC could be used to get the afr's happy easier in open loop but there are other ways to do it. The air bypass screw on the lex afm can be used to tweak the afr's as well as playing with the base fuel pressure. Each car is different but I tweaked the screw/base fp enough where in WOT I'm...
Are you referring to a 'net' to shield from FOD?
Also, would the diff fail before the drive-shaft? I've heard stories of domestics twisting aluminum drive-shafts. On a very rough guess, what do you think it would take to stress one to breaking?
I wouldn't to be honest. If you want a better fan, get a 10 blade from a turbo model. The 10 blade fan will move more air than any E-fan you can put in there. What condition is your radiator fluid in? How long since the radiator has been flushed? Have you checked the condition of the fins in the...
