One vehicle took all turns and curves in the highway on the outside, and the other took them all on the inside.

FYI, the 2 miles off the main highway was a distraction... it has nothing to do with the riddle.

I just came up with this one, so it does need some details... such as "No traffic laws were broken, both vehicles are driven, speedometers are in miles checked and calibrated (identical), same exact route on highway taken... etc."
