What did your 57 trim cost you?

My ct26 57 trim cost 650 from Forced Performance in Mckinney Tx. They specialize in DSM and 3s's but they can do about any kind of turbo work. That was full rebuild, balancing, machining, the works.

    Air to water intercooler revival!

exactly, originality is key to personalization. I like to pop the hood and have people go "WTF is that!?". Maybe I am a little used to my V8 Z or maybe my other Z with the black and lime green flame job with skulls airbrushed into the shadows of the flames.... just maybe. :icon_evil

7mgte powered Z possibly in the works.

of course he will be given proper instruction(cough, me) when he is ready. Im not really worried if he wrecks it, aslong as the drivetrain is good, I can find another shell for 100 bucks all day long. When I worked for vautozone(I typed that right), I saw three Z's parked in peoples driveways...

7mgte powered Z possibly in the works.

ohh yeah, before he parked it, he spent $450 in the rear. I helped him put in tokico struts, poly everything, I cant remember if we put springs on it or not. But its ready for some hp. Yeah, he is a good kid, he was taught how to fly an airplane at the age of 8, first flew w/ instructor when...

7mgte powered Z possibly in the works.

Well, long story but an old friend of mine called me up and asked if I could get an auto tranny for a 280z. I said let me make some phone calls. Come to find out, another friend of mine still had his Z parked out in the back pasture. He said he is moving and that the new owners of the house...

    performance parts list

In theory, the divorced downpipe that is recirculated is supposed to create less turbulence in the system and create more power than a normal aftermarket downpipe. BIC supports great power gains from his other downpipe(non recirc) mostly because of the wastegate being open to atmosphere yet I...

BigA, reading some of your threads, sounds like you would build an engine that could probably pull a freight train. Im just a small fry but hell, any thoughts or ideas for a street system would be great. I have narrowed down the pump, I will go ahead with the bosch/Mercedes pump. The cooler...

    Going Turbo350 auto!

He sounds like he is running a two step nitrous system, first stage to get out of the hole while the second stage will hit when tires are willing. His car would probably make me squeel like a little girl.:naughty: Whats all included in the ati kit? adapter plate, flywheel?, converter...

    Going Turbo350 auto!

I loved it in my v8 Z, although I didnt have much of a stall on that one, It may have been a stock converter or a th400 converter. Fun car, I loved to foot brake launch on the street, it wasnt the fastest thing in the world, but I have never gotten beat on the holeshot on the street(raced a...

    Going Turbo350 auto!

th350 FTMFW! 3000 stall converter, shift kit, kevlar bands, manual reverse valve body and slicks and that bastard would shoot out of the hole like a prostitute on Prozac.

    NEW GASKET AVALIBLE FOR 7M!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear you IJ, my gt40p heads on the stang are oringed... Its bloody overkill for what I do, but the heads were actually built for nitrous and my piston choice was an accident(my old man wanted NA, no boost, no juice)... On the stang boards, I havnt seen a failure when the heads are oringed for...

    Air to water intercooler revival!

sweet, Mercedes has posted a technical service bulletin for the 0 392 022 003 pump, which the only difference I see in the 0 392 022 002 pump is that the `002 pump has smaller inlet and outlet diameters(same electronics). This `002 pump is the exact one used in the lightning(compare prices on...

    Air to water intercooler revival!

wow, actually, Mercedes uses two different pumps in their intercooler setups. but I get two part numbers, 0392 022 003 and 0392 022 002, they mention a recall on one(not cool). I dont know which pump is the current MB recall though, but I will certainly find out.

p/n 0392022002 175+13 shipping in the states via ebay. Pretty expensive but it has a 10K hour lifespan(actually better than most electric cooling fans and fuel pumps). Thats the shit, your the man IJ.

it appears that the lightning pump is actually boschs' pump with a factory ford part number on it..... bosch pump it is. that link is great, but I wish I knew what "1200 dm3 h–1" means.

    Air to water intercooler revival!

You sleeper you! I think that would be pretty cool(pardon the pun) to show a water cool system at the local car meets. In fact, I have never really seen anyone in person have that system(although I hear the subbie sti guys love the water cooled systems). I just thought it would be different...

    Air to water intercooler revival!

is their advantages over the 'bullet' style cooler versus the generic coolers I see on the net? Plus I dont have a FFIM, although for a setup like that, totally worth it! Yeah, corkys' book kinda enlightened me(although short on the subject), like you said, cool off boost at stop or near stop...
