The "A/C control" pin is for idle up?
On the 1JZ, the compressor clutch is controlled by the ECU or the AC amplifier? Aaron told me on the MA70, all the AC controls go through the AC amplifier so even with a standalone on a 1JZ, the AC compressor should still turn on, assuming the pressure...
It is loosen off counter-clockwise. If you can't get it off, soak it with some WD-40 or penetrating oil. Last resort would be a 3/8 impact gun set to the lowest setting and increase if needed.
I don't have time to build one right now. :(. Summer class and fiddling with my 1JZ car....soon to be standalone.

I hate autos. Those things have drums and gears and a bunch of things that are easy to misplace.
Gearboxes are nice and simple.
I just sold a R154 rebuilt with Marlin Crawler goodies and new bearings for 800.
Price that sucker out. One smoking deal.
A bit of advice. You know the trans does pull back the motor which can throw off the intercooler piping. Just make sure you take that into consideration so a coupler can compensate for it without being stretch too much.

Too bad your not closer to NY, I'd rebuild that R154 for you, just buy all the parts and a case of beer.
If you want to build it yourself, it is not bad at all. I did not really go by the TSRM for disassembly and I lost an oval locking ball so I had to get one from the dealer.

Hey Grim, is it just me or are the JZ series just reliable like that?
I mean, rebuild it, change all the sensors, slap a standalone with a good turbo kit on there and just drive and drive....I believe that way gives less problems that newer cars nowadays.
