Yes, my Japanese 1JZ-GTE had problems from Japan ,and it was bought direct from the recycling yard in "a" grade. Looked pretty inside and out, but had a slight bhg
I've been driving 1JZ cars for over 2 years now. Stock and upgraded single. 7M's have their good points, but compared to a 2JZGTE, well.. they dont. Your living a lie if you think an M series motor is superior to a JZ motor! The proof is in the thousands of dyno numbers on stock blocks...
Looks like the same waterneck to me.....
IDK how someone could say a 500+whp 1JZ VVTI, vvti gets in the way because, the VVTI rods start snapping at 400whp, and MAJOR upgrades are needed to reach 500hp, not just "cutting a wire" to the vvti.
Turbine compressor housings are forged... the elbows are cast. If your not a good welder, i would suggest bringing it to one. The aluminums melt at different temps.
I mig welded mine on with aluminum wire, came out fine. Not as "pretty" as a tig weld, but it gets the job done.
Theres no trick. Its an electronically controlled transmission that needs speed input to the ECU to shift correctly. Do some searching, im not a MKIII expert on how to make your cable speedo work with the a70 electronic setup.
The auto tranny needs the electronic speed sensor to know what gear to go in.......................
The OD button is just a 12v switch to the ECU, to tell the ECU that at 40+mph, its ok to put the transmission in 4th gear. 0v, OD off, 12v, OD on.
It probably shifts from 1st to 3rd in...
