Check bulbs. Check all connections. On my 87 when i had it and did the rewired and sometimes it would go of once in a while because my fuse where i did the tap into was lose. So check all connections twice.

From what i know you can just replace the seals alone. But in your case as you have a damaged targa it may be the problem, but 20 years old seals is OLD. Time to get new ones with the new targa you are going to get.

Have one of these for a DD. Great lil car, cheap on gas, fun on the corners, it is tricky to drive at first though. Bought mine for dirt cheap. 4AGE is a fun motor too. Body on mine is really beat up and rusted, now im just driving it til it dies. lol
