from the outside how can you really tell if it is a turbo or na. I just bought a trans for myswap. The markings on the trans said 7mgte...tt. dont know what that means but the guy at the place said it was for a turbo. The little blue plate said 30-40 le....theres nothing on that trans that says...

Nice and clean 87! the only thing i hate about the pre 89 is the body moudlings. I would change it to 89+ before it started to peel of and rusted.

I'd say check fuse first. Then go from there. Save up and get something nicer. Or get other stock systems from other cars like later model toyotas.
