As for me, my purpose is to get accurate reading on my G-Tech RR.
Also, I have taken it to the autocross, but have no illusions of being competitive. I do it for the joy and experience the handling of my car :)
That's good news.
I did not get the sending unit replaced today. The one I got from autozone had the wrong thread pitch or just the wrong part. When I took it back they double checked and it was the one they showed to go on this car. :dunno:
Unless someone has a known good working unit for...
That's awesome !!
That is very close.
I got mine on the scales a couple of months ago and with a full tank and me sitting in it, it came to a grand total of ...3900lbs. That was on a scale that had front axle and rear axle weighed separate and rounded to 10lb.
How fast is the gauge suppose to react?
I tested my gauge. When grounded, the needle would go all the way to the top. When I removed the ground it would very slowly fall back to zero. Hit it with ground again and it would go all the way to the top. It wasn't instantaneous but it was quick...
I checked every page on the lubrication section of the tsrm and did not find out how to test the sending unit with an ohm meter.
Could you tell me where it is?
My oil pressure indication sucks. An test gauge shows the, operating temp, idle, pressure, to be ~20psi. My gauge sits near to zero.
Would this most likely be the sending unit, wiring or the gauge?
check all your vacuum lines
they are right. If idle is off, something is wrong.
TPS, ICS, COLD START INJECTOR, TEMP SENSOR, WIRING......
the list goes on. post some more details, codes, when you get to check it over.
I don't know every component location, but the tsrm and tewd online will cover it.:

I do know that I was able to successfully install an alarm system and have all existing components continue to work...
