ok so my car sat over winter and am getting it ready for spring now. now everything was fine before parking it, but now i have an odd issue.
with the key off the SAFC and VPC will stay on. so i removed the SAFC today and the vpc is still staying on. never had this issue till it sat over...
fuel system upgrades to use the higher boost are gonna be needed. around here on the pacific coast 10psi is pushing fuel cut, so 550's/lex is needed, and possibably a walbro or a USDM mk4 TT pump, with a adjustable FPR.
but what im wondering is why they didn't tell you that you need a fuel...
the intake cam is different in its a different lift/durration. the cams otherwise are the same and will swap no problems, though besure to check bearing clearances, as outlined here

generally if its a 89+ it should have the PPS option. it wasnt an option on 86.5-88 models.

i love steam for this, casue i just have to login and all my games come with me. plus never have to worry about losing cd-keys or scratching cd's beyond play. the other advantage is i dont have to wait in line at stores for new games that come out, like people did for skyrim, BF3 and MW3.
pull the accordian off and nspect the blades, make sure there none missing/bent out of shape.
next is manually pull the wastegate level VERY GENTLY so you dont bend it, and make sure wastegate moves.
also check for shaft play while you have it all apart.
how much boost you running?
that is interesting. though being a 680cc injector, you would need to be on a maftpro or standalone to use them, which might be why you dont hear of it. have to look more into this

pull the accordian off and look for signs of oil leakage around the compressor blades. though normally if its turbo seals, you will leave a james bond style smoke screen behind you.
the 88 is an easy swap. ive done it but im all the way in canada. once you have the parts its literally unbolt and replace. took me 8 hours to do the swap.
was there air in the lines? could be the rubber lines starting to go and need replacing. id look for wet lines. try re bleeding and see if you get more air.
also they will grab and let go, that the ABS doing its job.
