Everything he said.
The code 51 is because you pressed the throttle. If its just blinking like once every 1/4 second, you have no other fault codes.
But just as Hvyman said- you prolly have a boost leak. You shouldn't be hitting fuel cut till after 10psi.
Is this like a 57+ trim mod to the turbo?
If so, I could see a possibility of lean during high manifold pressures, but not in no-load condition.
If this is truly the case, then I would say something in the fuel system is under-performing. You said that fuel pressure was ruled out. How?
In past...
I will be testing at 0 psi, lol. More specifically, I just want to avoid fouling plugs at idle/ in vacuum.
In general, the move to DG500 coils was almost entirely for aesthetic reasons, as the oem setup works well.
However, using these Ford coils with the stock igniter actually seems to produce...
I just received my 24v up-converter in the mail yesterday, I'm looking forward to installing it.
I ordered a set of male and female oem igniter plugs, so that I can wire this in as a patch harness, and just remove it without splicing/ cutting anything.
I had an issue where I had no spark on...
Uh....yeah. I don't recall you mentioning the ol' "upside-down hg" deal, lol.
So.... Where's the video of the qtp goodness? You know i wanna hear that.
Although you say vac is strong, it almost sounds like mechanical timing is off a tooth(not ignition timing).
I'd give the suggestion(a guess) to remove the timing cover, and check the cam position vs. true TDC on the crank, by placing a chopstick or something similar into spark plug hole #1.
If I had that car, the only mods I would do would be reversible, such as intake and exhaust.
I wouldn't mess with anything external, except perhaps wheels.
If you have a built engine(which, at 9:1 is already higher comp than stock), why not fix the bearing issue, and spend the real money on better components elsewhere, like fuel and induction upgrades?
These will be the more important bottlenecks.
I get half of what youre saying. The original 12v feed is powering a relay, so that the stepup box gets input straight from the battery??
Maybe you'll get bored and post a diagram?
Ok, so you solved the 15psi limit, and got to 16psi...
are you saying that 16psi is the new limit, or can you go higher?
And you're saying that your cps wiring was the main issue?
The wheels came out very nice.
Sorry that you couldn't find a 17" option that you liked, as I think 17's are the proper size for the MkIII if you're looking for modern yet understated.
I know there was someone who had custom 'rebarreled' sawblades made that gave them increased width, but I don't...
