    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

So...the bad part of the story is: I get home from NY, and there's no box of injectors waiting for me... I call FIC, and they say that the tracking number shows that the injectors were delivered on the 24th. I doublecheck my front step, and garage door area, to make sure I didn't overlook the...

Yeah, you kind of have a good point. Adam- i award you no points! They charged me $88 for flow testing, shipped. I think that includes new o-rings too.

'New' burgundy dash, as in- new to you, or new to the world? Because I searched for ages to find a decent burgundy dash, and the dealer told me that there's no NOS dashes out there.

No real exciting updates guys, sorry- I've been very lazy with the car lately. I did reinstall the head with the new gasket, and found that previously, I had installed one of the cam seals with the lip folded over. Hoping that had something to do with the leak. Also, I decided to have my...

    7mgte engine noise

Not necessarily. If the oil shaft gear is still engaging the oil pump, pressure shouldn't be affected. If it disengages, your motor will seize.

    Alternator????

    You mean the noise filter?

    7mgte engine noise

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as Bmettie. Tear it down past the inner timing cover. If you're lucky, you might have had the retainer bolt unscrew itself, and the retainer is hitting the inside of the timing cover. Worst case scenario, is that the retainer seperated from the shaft. As for...

    Alternator????

Um, sounds like there may be a problem with the alternator circuit then, not the alternator. Have you checked the fuses in the engine bay fusebox?
  10. supraguy@aol

    No start, no tach movement

So, the fuse was popping from some sort of short... and you allowed higher amperage through the circuit, and now it doesn't run?

Each of the plugs that hold the #3 valve cover on, have small o-rings. These are the ones I checked first.

Gave her all the parts and money she needs, Car will not accelerate

I was toying with the idea of installing studs in their place...Wondering if there would be any benefit, besides reducing the wear & tear on the threads.

Everything he just said. My understanding is, that our AFM's are optical. You CAN'T clean them with spray cleaner.

Pull all of the spark plug wires off the plugs, and look into the holes? Is there any oil or water accumulating? If so, that'll cause engine cutout under anything more than light throttle. Dry out those areas by pushing in paper towels with a long screwdriver. That area must be bone dry.

Fixed code 51 now im driving a prius

Fuel cut on a regular CT is usually around 10-12, but once you swap out to Lex and 560's, that all changes. I wouldn't be trying to ask for more than 15psi out of any CT, regardless. Check for boost leaks already. It takes all of ten minutes.

Not sure what you mean by the third part in the middle of the valve cover? As i mentioned, the valley cap bolts were all tight.
