I dont think that exact # crosses over to fram and the like, however what K&N does for their filters is give equivilent #s from the same filter from a different company since most of the auto shops dont have books that include K&N part numbers, just Purolator, Fram, and the like.

Its an interesting idea, one that would be bettered by powering the front wheels I think.
However weight would also be the biggest issue, and even if it worked, it still wouldnt be worth it.

I can tell where they come through, with the rest of the stuff. On the passenger side, theres a place for a bunch of wires to come out, and thats where 2 cables come out. Other than that I have no idea where they lead, only where they lead in the engine bay
The bottom one is my turbo timer, the top one is my EBC. I have an external wastegate.
