    Clutch Master Cylinder Rebuild Kits

Rebuild kit works great for the ~$8. No reason to replace the whole thing if the only problem is old seals/rubber. Then again I always feel smarter when I fix a problem instead of replacing it.

    auto to 5spd conversion

I hope he drained the coolant first :<. We will hear back from a wet angry man if he didn't know what freeze plug was and just drilled into it.

    New Supra MPG ratings

Yeah my old NA got at best 19mpg. I've gotten 27mpg on the turbo staying out of the boost. Of course if I WOT I can watch the gauge go down :<.

    Idle adjustment

If you have the pre-89 throttle body, it has a bleed screw that will allos some air in. This will bring your idle up or down if you really need to mess with it. As mentioned though, our cars are meant to set the idle automatically. If it's not working, then you need to find the source of your...

    Hello From Dothan Alabama

Wow 53,000 miles! Nice find. It's nice seeing lonely supras finding their hands into people who will treat them well :D. Good luck.

My 89 NA broke down again, told needs new engine

Same thing happened to my old NA, threw a rod and was toast. You can get a low mileage JDM 7mge for like 600 bucks and swap it if you just want to get running again. This will probably be cheaper than a rebuild if money is your primary concern. This is decision time, if you want to go Na->T...

    Spec 3+ disc impressions

I remember now that when I installed my stg 3 the dowel pins were bent and not aligned correctly. I had the machine shop that reground my flywheel straighten them for me. Damn now I'm worried.

    Stock Clutch HP

Mine started slipping at 350rwhp, and worked fine even at like 320-330ish. It wasn't meant to take that power for a long time though.

Staticpat's Redneck Rodknock fix OR How-To drop Oilpan

I haven't tried so I don't know for sure. I was struggling to get the pan out with the subframe out, I sure don't see how it could come out with the clearance from jacking up the tranny. Actually with the subframe down, I still had to jack up the transmission to get enough clearance to actually...

Just keep the sides supported well because we will be...

    a question about starters

Yeah the threaded holes should be the only difference. Get the ones with the threaded holes if you can, I've heard they are much easier to remove/install.

Staticpat's Redneck Rodknock fix OR How-To drop Oilpan

Hehe, no one was more worried than me for sure. Anyone whose been to the dyno knows that hearing your car rev and boost makes it sounds likes its going to blow anyway. Apparently I did a good job. Sorry for delay, I spent Saturday re-clearing my car and the first Auto-X of the season was today...

How much psi in that run (on the old turbo)? I know I have more power left in mine, may need some timing control though :<

I'm trying to compare your old map to mine, since it should be the same turbo. Why does it only go to 5000rpm, limit of 5m head?

Staticpat's Redneck Rodknock fix OR How-To drop Oilpan

I knew they made a real brace that uses the shock towers. Then I read that some guy used 2X4s and it worked. I wasn't about to crawl under an engine held up with a 2X4 so I made this out of some spare 4X4s. I was skeptical at first but it was really solid. I let it sit overnight and tried to...

Staticpat's Redneck Rodknock fix OR How-To drop Oilpan

Preface: -The following is a good guide on how to remove the oil pan with the engine in the car. Many of us do not have the equipment to "pull the engine" for every problem. With this you can re-seal the oil pan, change the oil pump or attempt some bottom end work. -I successfully cured...
