Randy, thanks for the info. $1100 for a pair of GT's is a pretty dame good price. I am not really in a hurry to buy any, but at that price is kind hard to pass up. I dont want to take them out from under someone that is wanting the entire setup so if you do end up selling the stuff and someone...
the stock sensor is made into a diamond flange that bolts to the exhaust. Most aftermarket replacement units use a screw-in and come with a flange adapter. if yours already has then you are good to go, but if not then you would need to get one or make one. Another option is to make a block plate...
Yes you can and would actually be better then the stock 3wire. Hit up a local auto parts store and try to pick up a universal Bosch 4 wire and wire it in. When you run the ground wire from the 4wire unit, you are better off running it up into the loom and over to the side of the intake manifold...
Yeah, you could run just about any single coil with the MSD, but no, not coil packs like the GTE engines have. Well you could, but you would need all the GTE electronics to do so and really has no bennifet for a N/A car.
I think that you might be doing the test wrong for IG1 and IG3.
When doing the test for IG1, the 3v's needs to be applied to both pins 2 and 4 and for IG3, the 3v's need to be applied to both pins 2 and 3.
If you are doing what I think that you are (just applying 3 volts to one pin each...
Yeah, boosted beat me to it. just jack up the back and measure it. IRS (independent rear suspension) keeps the diff in the same place regaurdless of whether its on jacks or not. The dimension will not chance except maybe a few thousanths of an inch due to chassis flex which is not going to make...
A battery kill switch is not something that need to be a secret, actually shouldnt be cause it is a safety item in the event of a wreck. A battery kill switch is not going to allow someone to steal your car if they know where its at. The worse thing that they could do is play a practical joke on...
Yeah, thats was my first thought, do not forget to get the tach adapter, or the car will not run. I had a 6A on for quite some time before I went full standalone and it worked great.
It shouldn't if everything (pump and regulator) are working correctly. The reason that toyota put it on the supras was for a fail safe back up in the event that the regulator failed to prevent and overly lean condition and really only should have been on the Turbo cars. The just put it on the...
just set it up as you would if nothing has been done, you should not have any problems unless the head has been drastically shaved also. My block was stock and my head was shaved .025" which is about .63mm and no problems except for maybe a small lose of power do to cam timing be off slightly...
If you are not to worried about Aluminum then get a small DC inverter TIG.
For pretty much everything, you will only use DC anyways. Aluminum is about the only thing that uses AC.. DC units are usually much cheaper.
Now for something that most would not buy but A friend of mine picked...
Yeah, my GF always bitches about how my arms are always darker then her hole body and she goes to a tanning bed......
I told her that I would teacher to weld, but she would have to do it naked!
Yeah, like MDC said, GO TIG!!!!!!!
Thats the best thing that I ever invested in. About the only time that I ever use my MIG is for quick tacks and that is it.
The only real advantage that a MIG has is speed and even then its not that much faster of a deposition rate.
TIG torch =...
Damn Mark, I cant beleave that I have over looked this thread this hole time. No wonder why I haven't heard from you about all the stuff that we talked about the last time that I stopped by..... Anyways, glad to hear that you came out on top in the end. I keep my eyes open for another engine for...
