Just wanted to update this thread. Haven't solved my problem yet but have done the following.
1. Tested flasher and it was good, also swapped one from a working supra.
2. Test combo switch and also tested on another car and it was good.
I will check my fuse again, last checked was good. And...
Could use a better picture but this is what I have for now. Excuse the dirty and incomplete interior ( need to figure out why my turn signals aren't working yet before everything goes back)
Installed this wheel yesterday. JDM red stitch steering wheel. This wheel beats the 4 spokes wheel all...
Here's how i mounted mine.
The ic is bolted directly onto the bar, i haven't the bottom brackets but haven't added in there yet. With this you're pushing the ic out a good amount and i had to trim the bottom of the bumper to clear it. But there's plenty of room.
Those Modena wheels are pretty nice. Does the trade come with tires? Tough choice tho since the polished only came in 98 correct and i know they're 2lbs lighter per wheel. I have a set too and i'm running a square set up now 9.5, with staggered tires tho. Anyhow, tt wheels are pretty ez to find...
Great. I'm leaning towards the H1 now too. The reason I was considering the d2s is because i have a set of d2s and denso ballasts already from a rx330 projectors that i am now planning to put into my ls400. Get some measurements and pictures when you get the parts in.
3.0 D2S is somewhere betweern h1 and fx-r clear is what someone from TRS told me when i called yesterday. Also, the length for the d2s from lens to base of bulb WITHOUT adapter is 140mm....at this rate. If you go with d2s then you want to do what the other guy did and use d2h or just use h1.
No comment on the d2s vs h1 as that has been debated already. At this point either 1 is better than stock, hid in halogen housings and many more. Can you elaborate on "the projector itself is technically longer, the projector with bulb and connector is not"? I tried calling TRS to ask the...
This is the exact set up i'm going to be doing soon. Current have tsx retro in my car and there's no room for the d2s....less alone the bulb caps. So i ended up modified a different set of bulbs to run these but the way where the bulbs are seated in the tsx housings i'm not getting the best...
A buddy gave me his oil cooler hardline so I everything is buttoned up and good to go. Need to top off the oil since some leaked out when i was changing the hardlines.
The easiest way to get the beam right with Ecode housings is to make a spacer to space out the hid bulb. I did this when i had them before i went with projectors. But yea this will allow the closest to getting a clean beam pattern.
