Yup this happens to me as well, but not as much as a before with the fidanza I used to have. I have the new Tial Q Bov and love it, I can not recirculate it at all. I'm on the Lex AFM and don't have any cats and it would backfire or pop alot in the exhaust. I flipped on the EIDS feature on my...
You should come down to our May meet we have every year the weekend of the 9th. We will be road racing, free dyno's at MVP motorsports and either Denton 1/8 drag or the new Crandell track 1/4. It will be Sat and Sun.
Why not just leave the intake manifold the way it is with no angle? The reason I say that is so people that don't want to have to relocate their battery don't have to, just remove the upper or both aux fans. This way you leave it up to the end customer and then the IC pipes will be able to...
Yup, those Cobra wheels are really wide! They stick out alot on our cars, I've seen them in person on a MK3, and they look ok just not right. The 17x9 +24 you will have a problem with rubbing. The wheels that I have are the 17x8 +35 in the front, and 17x10+35 in the rear. and they work great...
The bolt on turbos are a little more expensive but worth it. You can basically keep everything stock appearance and use the stock exhaust manifolds and downpipes. It's all about your goal, if you want over 550rwhp reliably get a full T4 set up. If you want fast spool and a fun car to drive...
If you are only looking to drive it a couple times then why buy a set? The reason I got mine is because I'm going to get 50+passes this year. Another place to look for a good deal on wheels and tires is a Mustang forum. Any 5 lug they have from 92-2004 will work. I got my wheels and tires...
Yup a wideband is next on my list. I'll be getting the Zeitronix because it also logs, egt, rpm, boost, afr, and tps all on one screen and the software is amazing. This way when you go to dyno your car you can see what it's doing at a certain rpm and tune from there. Best out there I think.
I've had the ASX, SPT, MX, Gforce TA, Gforce Sport TA and the KDW tires. I drive my supra a lot and the ASX's sucked taking fast turns and my car would slide, the SPT's did a little better and the MX were the best of all the Kumho's. I now have the BFG Gforce sport and they have handled better...
Yeah but the Nitto 315's fit more like 295's. The BFG's are wider, I have had both on MK4TT wheels and they are too wide. Get a good 275 and you'll have better contact patch.
Mickey Thompson tires hands down!! I have had the Nitto's which are good for the street, ok for the track. The BFG's very poor wear, once finally bald they hook the best. MT descent wear and hooks great at the track!!! By far the best choice...
I'm taking it back tomorrow or tuesday to the machine shop to see what I can do.. I have another block with JE pistons but I'm going to see what that will need, I know that it needs to be bored over. I'm just affraid of putting in another motor with these NPR pistons and rings. How do I test...
Same here they had to order it from Japan! It took 3.5 weeks to get it. I have looked it over now completely and unwrapped everything and all looks good.
I have a new fuel filter that I put on a year ago or so and my injectors clip right into the stock harness, so no soldering was done. I did look over the wires and they are all good. I had to actually get the loom off to look at it because the harness is new.
I think that this mostly...
I guess I would have to do that when I put the car back together. But will do! I don't want another block with NPR pistons again! I think that I mentioned that before, these were the pistons they gave me. I'm wishing that I had my JE's in there still:3d_frown:
Anything else I should check...
Jay, it's not your fault, I should've just came back to the track the next day with the truck and trailer. I was just afraid of leaving my car at the track with my wheels, tools, parts in the back of the car over night! So I limped it to Austin then came back the next day to get her. So no...
