I've launched it before without the step retard, and it was pretty good. I haven't been able to launch with this new box yet. Yup, still WS. The coils are MSD #8224 with the accessory coil interface module adapters for easy installation.

With all the 2-step talk lately, I figured I'd make a video of one that's been working for me. I used to have a DIS-4 digital, which was great for launching at vacuum. The only problem I had with it, was I wasn't able to run the step retard with a switch. Now with the DIS-4 Plus, I can run...

I just tune with a S-AFC, VPC, and my LM-1 wideband.

Layout is pretty average. What in particular would you want to know?

Pretty interesting result. Anything above 3000rpm doesn't seem to take to the MSD ignition retard, as I get substantial boost with only 9 degrees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxSjJMmcpzI 19 degrees spiked my boost gauge, so I'll have to do more experimenting.

FWIW, I don't believe that Bee-R ricer box works with the 7M ignition. Only seen JZ's with them. (As far as supra use.)

Well, it was just something I noticed. The 2-step was set at 0 and so was my max speed rev. I'm pretty sure that feature won't cause you trouble unless you supply it with 12V. Make sure max speed is set to something higher than 0.

Without the DIS in the circuit, the coils should operate from the stock ignitor configuration. On my DIS4 Plus, if I made no selection for 2-step or max speed limit (0 and 0)... the ign. was limited to 2000rpms, which could limit the spark output to the coils like you're experiencing. I...
