The weak link in my IC pipes are that they're not bead rolled and my one motor mount shot. When the engine torques up, the pipes separate.
All is being fixed as soon as I can.
Thanks Dave!
I'm still looking forward to seeing your results with your transmission.
What's with everyone and the pump gas...?
I dyno'd 564hp before with 21.5psi.
Sorry I don't have a boost log. :(
Thanks for all the kind comments.
I guess next is spray. :dunno:
Still really want a TH350.
This engine has never seen pump gas.
You must drive with either a drag radial or slick.
I drive on MT ET streets.
Anything else is just useless.
Thank-ya.
CT upgrades don't have a proportional relationship with respect to compressor wheel and shaft dimensions. With thrust loads, these shafts are more likely to "move" or otherwise distort causing premature bearing/seal damage or even catastrophic breakage.
This condition increases exponentially...
Built engine.
SSAutocrome manifold, modified for TiAL F38 W/G, and a turbo riser.
2.5" IC pipes
Spearco bar and plate IC
TiAL 50mm BOV
Sethron FFIM
VPC, AFC, EVC.
2x Walbro 255 pumps
680cc Precision injectors
LIPP fuel rail (dual feed)
Aeromotive AFPR
MSD DIS4
Gauges and stuff.
Probably about it.
Finally... Finally I got the time to strap down to the dyno and spend the time needed to get the car running "decent" air fuels.
Ever since adding the 2nd fuel pump, it's been a little bit of a handful trying not to correct too much with the piggybacks+AFPR.
At the end of the day, I feel...
Just run a pressure line to the side port and leave the top open.
A word of advice: Throw that w/g in the garbage and get something worth your time, because these aren't.
My porterfield R4's are silent as well.
I sprayed the backs with brake-quiet, and used the springs.
They only squeek for .5 seconds when you hit the brakes for the first time after sitting for a month or so.
Cheap pads squeek badly mainly because they're an extremely hard...
Yeah, I plan on doing something similar to what others have done with the small shock absorber between the strut tower and the head + a lower brace.
I wish those pipes stayed on, my powerband was going straight up.
All runs were at 27psi, but couldn't reach it and would blow at 20ish.
No nitrous.
Time to re-brace like IJ showed, plus new IC pipes and even a new throttle body.
