I want to thank you all for all the Help with this Issue. Even though the Issue is still there Im finding more and more Issues. As of right now, It looks like the TPS is Dead. Start the car up and the Voltage is 0.00 at Idle. Give it gas and the Voltage moves but car AFR are all over the place...
WooHoo.....
Someone actually used my Wiring Diagram. These Q45 TPSs are a little stange at time. Very touchy when it comes to setting up the right voltages.
Ok All.
So I went ahead and reconfigured the ground wires. Bought new wire and went from the Battery up to the engine block and also put a short grounding wire the the frame.
There is no change when I did this. The TPS voltage when lights are off are still around .4v and when I turn them...
Alternator is in good condition, Doesnt seem to have any problem keeping things charged but I dont have anything that you really pull a huge amount of current other than the stock things.
The Bolt that Im currently grounded too is right by the passenger tail light in the bottom of trunk area...
Its not a factory Negative battery cable. This is a 2 guage Black cable that came with my Battery relocation kit. Maybe its the location that I have it grounded but It seems be be grounded fine. Bolt that screws into the frame inside of the trunk of the car. Very tight fit.
Ok so where is the Diagnosis so far.
Car running with Headlights off Im getting 14.47v from the battery positive to the Ground Point of the Negative cable.
Car running with Headlights on, Im getting 13.5v consistant from the battery positive to the ground point of the negative cable...
Ok so Let me make sure I know what I need to go and Verify here.
Check to see what the Difference is in Voltage when the Headlights are on and off?
Also, I think I understand where you all are coming from when you talk about grounding the battery but Im wondering what does it matter as...
I will do a Voltage check tomorrow.
I do know that when I turn the Headlights on the Alternator gauge on the Instrument cluster drops and if I turn the Turns Signals on everytime it blinks the Instrument cluster needed bounces with it.

Running the Short (2 foot) 2 guage cable from the battery Negative post to a Bolt that is screwed into the frame of the car in the trunk. Only thing I dont have is that small Extra ground that most cars have that screws into the side of the firewall area like the stock configuration has. If I do...
Over and over again.
Battery is in the Trunk and Grounded Properly
Harness is grounded under the Intake Manifold as it would usually be on the Stock Configuration.
Hey all.....
Its been a while since I posted anything and Im at the end of the Straw on this one. Could use a little Insight here as to this Problem.
Basic Mods.
Ron R FFIM
Q45 Throttle Body and TPS
GT4067R Turbo
MAFT Pro
etc etc etc
Start car and Watch MAFT Pro TPS voltage, Once...
The BOV I have is new but I never got a Filter or anything like that.... If I do soft boost (7psi or Less) and let off the gas you can hear the air coming out of it pretty well but thats with the Screw turned all the way out. Any PSI higher than that will give me Surge through the turbo and it...
I think they are but you can Defintiely tell its not coming from the BOV. Im running a FFIM and the BOV is located right by the Drivers Headlight area. You can tell its coming from the turbo Area. I dont mind the sound too much but I mind its not coming from the right area.
Hey you all.
Im having turbo Surge problems and Ive done pretty much everything that I can think of so any recommendation would be great....
Setup..
GT4067r DBB Turbo
3 1/2" Piping from IC to Q45 throttle Body
2 1/2" from turbo to Intercooler
HKS SSQV BOV.
Problem: Doesnt matter...
Charging battery Voltage is fine. Didnt have this Issue before so I cant seem to figure out why Im having it now. Maybe I should mention that my TPS is a Q45 TPS. Havent done the stock TPS mod for my FFIM yet.
Hey all,
I know this all sounds strange and Im puzzled so I figured I would ask here.
Im stalled another wiring harness in my Supra and everything is wired in as usual. Start the car up and she Purrs like a Kitten. Look at my MAFT Pro TPS voltage and its reading .38 to .40v which is where...
Ok, so O2 sensor is good
Now Im really thinking its the harness. Im moving to a New location so yesterday I finally started the car up and took it over to the New House. Distance is about 18 miles and car started up fine as usual. Got out on the road and it drove a little in the Rich side...
Im running the Stock O2 Sensor and Its mounted in the Stock Location or Pretty close to it. About 6 to 8" for the 3" V-Band Flange. My Wide band is Mounted about 1 1/2 feet below that. Just to confirm that its a good Sensor, I have a Spare that I ran for quite a While and I installed that one...
Ok...
So I took my Digital Multimeter and did a Voltage check at the ECU. Waited for Approx 5 to 7 minutes and I finally got a AUX1 Signal. As soon as I got voltage at the ECU, the MAFT Pro Displayed the same Voltage so Its not a MAFT Pro Issue. Voltage at the ECU didnt come in until the time...
Can I check that at the Check connector or should I do it at the ECU. Hopefully its a easy fix but then again with these cars there isnt anything that seems to be easy sometimes.
