Crower also had a stroker kit for our car that cost $5500 for the crank, rods, pistons. I have no clue how much it would be to assemble it, though. It's not advertised on their website, but if you call them, they'll talk to you about it. It's 50% up front to get the work going on it.
Would you mount the thermo switch pre or post thermostat? When I called Flex-a-lite, they were pretty adamant about mounting it post thermostat, but I was wondering what other people's opinions on the topic are.
It seems to make sense because the thermostat will initially control the temp by...
You could also get a tow dolly...I've seen models that included electric brakes, too. I think that would be definitely doable with that truck! BTW, it does look good! :)
R: Where did you get the CFM rating from? I'm curious because it seems like some companies have different standards like 0 psi static pressure, etc. It looks good, though!
William, the duals look perfect on the radiator! Nice job mounting them...are those the ones from the Contour? Any...
I would also start with re-checking everything electrical under the hood via the TSRM. TPS, ISC, AFM. All that normal jazz. Any little electrical signal that is not getting where it is supposed to be can monkey it all up. For example, the IDL and E2(?) connector on the TPS has a range of...
I wouldn't use a different disk...you probably could, but more than likely not a good idea. They designed them to work together so I would use them that way. If you want a rebuildable clutch, HPF has some really nice options...:)
Okay, I ran this clutch myself and with a proper break-in period I used it with MUCH success for 15000+ miles. I only took it out because I had higher hp goals at the time. Centerforce will only guarantee the clutch for 90% over stock and that's it!
However, I made over 454+ rwhp on mine...
You can fit up to a 285/40/17 on the back, but I think it is a little bit harder to find a tire manufacturer that will make it in that size. For the front, I'm lowered on Tokicos and running a 245/45/17...and I have rubbing issues due to the overall diameter, not the width.
I would...
I also asked a Turbonetics rep about this awhile ago and he said while it wasn't necessary, they could add to the overall longevity of the turbo. I would say go ahead and use 'em if you got 'em!
