oh yes, there'll be a lot of oil sloshin around in your valley if you dont have that sealed. i took mine off, cleaned it up and put of bead of good rtv on the sealing points. works fine

so i bought a new pivot bushing and removed the unnecessary bushing i had in there making the pivot sit high. i have yet to get something to replace that thin piece of teflon or whatever that supposed to be around the bore. feels great though! no more slop.
