What kind of races? Street or track? IF you don't have to do it with a Supra, I say go for a 400-450awhp WRX. His "500 hp h22 powered civic" is going to have incredible traction (and reliability) problems. It's more fun to take someone down with less power, too.

What gap you running on those plugs? The wrong gap can give you problems like the one you mention.

It's not hard, but it's lotsa work. You also have 2 be very careful when handling a compressed spring. Best 2 first watch someone wth experience do it, before u get killed or badly hurt.

I recommend a compression test before and after the retorque. Compare the numbers and draw your conclusions. After putting everything together and before starting it up, check the condition of the oil, and then do an oil change. This is just to make sure your motor oil didn't get water mixed in...
