Sad night, but cool video! Neat to see a mk3 two stepping.

How to obtain at most 300 Wheel Horse Power

The HKS 75mm exhaust is not real common. I'm not sure HKS makes it anymore. Raptor Racing made one similar, that is on my car. Stealthy looking twin tip muffler like stock, but just a tad larger tips connected to 3" (75mm) piping. If you want the real HKS version that may be difficult. Similar...

How to obtain at most 300 Wheel Horse Power

OP: Welcome! Sounds like you've got a good clean slate. I'm biased, but I think you should start reading at the link below, as well as some of the stickied threads here on SM. It sounds like some of your questions or concerns may be addressed by the stuff I've written. It'll at least cover some...

Replacing coolant hose from head to ISCV

Mirror, careful lighting and lots of patience. It's a bear working under the manifold. To take it off, you have to work at the lower bolts anyways so I wouldn't go that route unless you want to do some cleaning under there. Good luck! Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

    The Mistress

That's awesome stuff Dave. I need to get mine out for a track day. Looks like a blast!

    Alternator replacement

Oh, I think I misunderstood. I thought you had a massive car audio setup and needed the 200 amp alternator. Factory alternators for the mk3 are 70 and 80 amp. Driftmotion sells a 140 amp alternator as an upgrade. 200 amps seems incredibly high unless you're building a car solely for audio...

    Alternator replacement

What on earth kind of amp are you running that overpowers an oem alternator so damn fast? There are aftermarket companies that make higher output alternators, but maybe there's another problem if you're consistently draining batteries while driving the car.

Rear shock "stopper" part interchangability? (48341-14030 and 48341-14040

Neat to see them side by side. The newer version looks very similar to the generic KYB offering. The KYB boot/baffle is plastic though, not rubber. If yours are rubber that's a difference between OEM and the KYB i guess. They otherwise look identical. Best pics I can find of the KYB's from my...

    Supra Road-Trip 2015: America's Best Roads?

Kinda. The krispy kreme (120th) is probably North Glenn, but I was way up north (166th), technically in Thornton. The city lines are all gerrymandered up there.

    Supra Road-Trip 2015: America's Best Roads?

First George, now you, Jeff. Dammit! Very. very cool and thanks for sharing. Glad you enjoyed some Colorado roads. Awesome mountain driving for sure. Next time you're in Colorado you need to do the "peak to peak highway" and drive through Rocky Mountain National Park between Estes Park and...

    Still hitting fuel cut??!!

My 7MGTE with a 50 trim CT26 and all stock electronics, NA fuel pump, fresh, clean Turbo injectors, 10-12 psi is consistently 8-11 AFR on boost. If you're at 13-14 under load (boost) that's pretty lean. With an AFR that lean i would not expect a boost leak. A boost leak should make you run real...

    Upgraded CT26

There's certainly more than this to the situation to consider, but familiarizing yourself with the turbo specs for play is probably a good start. You know it'll move at least that much. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=TC&P=6 Here's a cross section of the shaft. No...

Alternator Replacement Video - Stabilized HD

Ok, gotcha. I looked at ripple in a previous project car so that's familiar. Unfortunately, I didn't have my DMM handy this time around (It's a few feet deep in my crap in a storage POD somewhere in Phoenix). I'll hang onto it until I get into my next house and have the garage shop back up. I...

Alternator Replacement Video - Stabilized HD

I kept my old one to do just that actually. I don't have access to my tools to do it now but I will later. If it's just not outputting enough voltage at lower rpm, what component is that which is worn out? I spent a few minutes on Google and couldn't find that info.

Rear shock "stopper" part interchangability? (48341-14030 and 48341-14040

The mounts are probably fine. I replaced mine because the originals had 335k miles on them and I had a groan that I suspected to be related to the mounts. Turns out my groan was from old differential fluid though so I can't really say if the mounts can wear out without looking horrible. Good...

Rear shock "stopper" part interchangability? (48341-14030 and 48341-14040

Parts on the bed?! Oh shit. My wife's pretty cool, but I think I'd get a few swift punches to the shoulder if I did that! Yeah KYB is the choice supplier for most the suspension stuff, but that OEM bumper is quite unique. Not sure who they sourced that out to or if it's an in house made item...

Alternator Replacement Video - Stabilized HD

Here's another real simple video showing the replacement of the alternator on a mk3. Mine wore out after I let my huge Die Hard Platinum die a few times over the winter (charge your batteries or disconnect them!) and jump started and let the alternator *try* to recharge. I also used Youtube's...
