well, there are a few different kinds, electronic and manual controllers and basically, both allow you to adjust your boost over stock psi. edit, search for MBC and EBC http://www.supramania.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42

i would think the turbo would work harder to maintain 6psi with a leak. so once the leak is fixed it will still be 6+ untill you use a boost controller or washers to up the boost.. and the turbo wont have to work as hard...

i think its 6.8psi off the top of my head? no clue once you fix the bov. probably stay the same...

i looked at mine and the over flow drain from the OF tank dumps right onto the IC? might explain the coolant there..

i dont know about the kit, but it looks like you will also need a ffim for that to bolt up..

ya there is a lot more load on the lowers, so they wear out first, uppers need to be pressed in and out i think, but im not positive..

lowers are an easy repair, uppers are much harder to install and they are less likely to be bad? imo

hell ya, those turbo mopars can be quick. my buddy has a 86 shelby charger 2.2l pushing 20+psi and about 400hp. its so old school but way fun. amazing power for a 4 banger..he wants to do a minivan just to emberrase others people when he beats them.. i like it.. powered by dodge...

speaking of smoke...i had just bought my car, I was heading home and i was behind a slow poking BMW, well i thought id show him a thing or two so I down shift and mash the gas and went for the pass, Just as I blew past him and i was almost back in my own lane he was gone. vanished....nothing...
